5th Workshop of MS and Carbohydrates – May 18th

Organized by the University of Aveiro Mass Spectrometry Centre

The "5th Workshop of Mass Spectrometry and Carbohydrates”, organized by the Mass Spectrometry Center and NEQ (Núcleo de Estudantes de Química), will be focused on the analysis of carbohydrates and compounds containing sugar moieties by mass spectrometry. The program includes lectures addressing aspects of mass spectrometry and derivatization procedures for the analysis of carbohydrates by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Also, a lecture about instrumentation will be given by a representative of Izasa Scientific (Portugal). Practical applications will be given by invited speakers with expertise in different research fields, including glycoproteins, glycolipids, glycoarrays, glycosylated phenolics, and modification of polysaccharides.

This workshop will be held at the Amphitheatre of the Department of Environment and Planning of the University of Aveiro, on Wednesday, May 18th, from 14:00 to 18:00.

The official language of the event will be Portuguese.
