Aveiro
Aveiro is a medium sized town with a versatile mix of beaches, country and mountains, and the center of the Ria de Aveiro, a unique river mouth region with a remarkable maritime wildlife and a natural reserve within its shores. Participants can enjoy the relaxation and quietness of small metropolis while benefiting from high standard communication and accommodation facilities.
Aveiro is also home to a young University with strong linkages to the National and European innovation networks. Within this framework, the University hosts several research units focused on advanced research.
University of Aveiro concentrates in the Campus of Santiago, a vast area placed between the river mouth region and the lively town centre.
The Campus spreads throughout 40 buildings that provide all the physical and communications infrastructures necessary for academic learning and research, including a WLAN facility that covers the entire area. The buildings were projected by an array of prestigious Portuguese architects, thus making them a show room of Portuguese modern architecture, permanently visited all year round.
The 4th Workshop of Immunology will be held at the Amphitheatre of Department of Environment and Planning of the University of Aveiro (number 7, ground floor, in this map).
